Life is a slog, a joke, a sideshow under fluorescent lights. Long before slogans and think-pieces, ancient Indian philosophy had a word for it. Leela. Existence as play. Reality as theatre. The universe less as instruction manual, more as improvisation.

In Leela, Studio Murlï leans into that idea with humour and resistance. God as trickster. Meaning as provisional. Us, wandering the set with shopping bags, opinions, and borrowed certainties, trying to work out whether the script was ever meant to be followed.

Somewhere along the way, reality began to feel mass-produced. Packaged. Flattened. This work pushes back against that dulling. Not with answers, but with laughter. A refusal to swallow someone else’s version of truth whole.
