Generational Trauma is a limited edition illustration art print by Studio Murlï that asks a blunt question: what if the weight of our past could be seen?

A man sprints forward clutching a bunch of bananas. Behind him, a crowd gathers pace, ancestors, memories, half-remembered figures, even a few lions for good measure. The scene is absurd on its face, but close to home in feeling. Most of us are running with something. We just don’t usually see the pursuit.

Rendered in bold, atomic-style colour, the humour works as a pressure valve. It doesn’t trivialise the theme, it makes it survivable. The work holds tension without collapsing into heaviness, inviting a laugh that lands a second later as recognition.
